In fact, many of their hotels are equipped with solar panels, and the company has recently completed building its second solar farm!

The Partnership

Maintaining the quality of a hotel involves continually upgrading the rooms and their facilities. The hero in every guest room is the bed, and an important aspect of the bed is the pillows. Periodically, the pillows need to be replaced. To address this, the company initiated a tender process to explore options for new pillows, with Vendella emerging as a strong contender.

Vendella was first introduced to Lisa Parker, General Manger at Rydges World Square, at a key industry event, where Marty and Luke presented our latest products. The sustainability approach of our DreamGreen range impressed Lisa; however, guest comfort and satisfaction remained the top priority. Although sustainability is highly valued, the comfort of guests always comes first, so samples were requested from Vendella.

Lisa enlisted the help of director, Jerry Schwartz to review the samples. Whilst loving a sustainable product, his particular focus was on the pillow quality and ensuring a good night’s sleep for guests. Here is what Lisa said about the DreamGreen bedding, “We were both very impressed with the quality of samples. As Jerry mentioned, we did go to tender and we had sustainable products from other companies which, quite frankly, were nowhere near the comfort levels of the products that we received from Vendella. So the choice really was quite easy to make.”

In addition to the DreamGreen pillows, Rydges World Square were impressed with the DreamGreen quilt/duvet inners and mattress protectors. In particular the fact that they are available in split and zip options. This flexibility allows the team to maximize room configurations, offering either a king bed or two king singles. The split and zip range also reduces the need to stock multiple bedding sets and enhances housekeeping efficiency.

Rydges World Square are thrilled not only with the product quality, but the sustainable impact that their purchases have. To date, they have help divert over 94,346 plastic water bottles from landfill through buying DreamGreen bedding!
