Why are your bed bases not assembled? – Pros and Cons of a kitset bed base.

There is only one disadvantage to supplying a kit set – and that is that it cannot be used instantly.  Having said that, assembly of our Makers Commercial Bed Base takes approximately 8 minutes with two people on the job, and the advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages.  Our Bed Base kits arrive in two cartons and are easier to move into the required space than trying to manhandle a fully assembled base around corners, up stairs and in-and-out of elevators.  The kits are easier and more cost effective to transport, and can be stored easily on site  in their flat packs if required.  Additionally, the base upholstery can be easily replaced if damaged, faded or stained – which would not be possible if pre-assembled.  All of our bases come with a 2 year warranty.
