BACKGROUND

With unparalleled views of the mountain range as well as the Kawarau River, LQ Wyndham is a property that offers a combination of 91 Hotel rooms and well-appointed Apartment style rooms in a range of sizes and configurations. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, their friendly atmosphere and thoughtful extras provide a bright stay for each and every guest. LQ by Wyndham is also on the doorstep of Park Town Centre with a wide range of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Whether it is travelers or those on leisure staying at the Hotel, the Wyndham signature stamp is seen all the way through in the atmosphere, service and in room amenities.

THE PROJECT

Working closely with Furn-Niche during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vendella were asked to help with the furnishing of the first Hotel of its kind in the area. Despite the disruptions of lockdowns, the project was still able to run smoothly with zoom meetings held regularly, implementing processes so as to ensure that workflow was not hindered. Account manager Michael Boakes (who has worked with Furn-Niche in the past on similar projects) was able to organise samples to be sent so that they could be trialed by the housekeeping team in the rooms. Having specific delivery dates and delivery times, we were able to stay true to our word and deliver the items in an orderly and timely manner, as and when they were required.

PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA

Vendella was chosen as a supplier as we kept in regular contact during a difficult time for everybody who was involved with the new build. We had the items that they were looking for, and also our environmental and sustainability vision was important to La Qunita, as they were able to relate their own sustainability goals with our own. Another reason for choosing Vendella was that they knew that they could trust us, knowing full well that we had the project in hand from the beginning to the completion.
